Hello Tiffany. Just stopping by to say hi as we are a)both knitters b)both bloggers and c) both exhibiting at Knit Happens.
I really love your "Entomological Knits" I think it is a good solution to getting the audience to really look at the work, at the knitting as a process and as a precious object. The construction of knitted elements is very wonderful and interesing in itself and I think the way you have chosen to exhibit your work expresses this. Also, the three heeled sock really made me smile!
I am really interested in the nettle fiber that the women in Nepal make. I tried making nettle fiber myself in 2008 but it was almost impossible to find any info on how to do it. I did get some yarn, but very little. If it would be possible for us to have a conversation about this, could you email me? susan(dot)kruse(at)yahoo(dot)com
Hi Susan. Thank you for your lovely comments and introducing yourself. It's great to get to know someone else from the Knit Happens exhibition and a fellow knitter. I'm going to check out your blog now and reply to you via email about nettles.
